The Election was Stolen

The PeH Factor

"Seeking balance in a Polarized World"

The Election was Stolen

I have attempted to stay away from politics. In these past few years the politics of our nations has been especially divisive. But, there are times when I need to express some thoughts whether or not you, my friends and readers, agree or disagree, after all, they are my thoughts. As a result, a few weeks back I wrote these reflections. I was encouraged by someone very close to me to not post this because it was “too political.” But, with the events of yesterday at the Capital I feel I must posted these thoughts. I will be posting a second later today. Thanks for listening.

Let me begin by saying that President Trump has accomplished more for the conservative side of our nation that he is given credit for. Standing up for America, holding allies accountable for their commitments, confronting our enemies, especially China and their trade practices, growing our economy, placement of conservative judges. Rebuilding much in the military. The list could go on and on. I do not like the rhetoric with which he has done many of those things. I don’t like his bullying behavior. I believe his name calling has soured our standing in the world and divided our nation. But, he has accomplished a lot of his agenda and conservatives should be proud of those accomplishments.

That having been said, the man has character flaws that the presidency has highlighted and the press continues to highlight. One of those flaws, I believe, is his present stance that The Election was stolen from him, and President Trump is right. The election was stolen but I believe he has blamed the theft on the wrong source.

The potential of the election being stolen was announced weeks before November 3 and became a theme at many of the Trump rallies. Concerns were raised. Anxiety was hyped and President Trump was right. The election might very well be stolen.

The accusations has and continues to be made on many platforms. People have marched in the streets shouting, praying, cursing, threatening that there is a crime being committed. A theft is taking place and President Trump is right, The Election is being stolen.

The federal judges in the states of Arizona, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Georgia have all turned down election appeals. Some of these judges are ones the president appointed to serve. Regardless of the voices in the streets. No action taken. Not enough evidence given. President Trump is right. The election is being stolen.

The Attorney General of the United States, appointed by President Trump, demonstrating his loyalty to the President despite the partisan criticism by the press and the Democratic Party, said there is not enough evidence to show that election fraud would overturn the election. There was fraud. There is in every election. Someone or something got to Barr. The President is right. The election is being stolen.

The Supreme Court of the United States of America, with its balance of 6 conservative and 3 liberal judges, can’t seem to understand the passion amongst so many. They will not even hear the case brought by the State of Texas. Yet again, President Trump is right. The election is being stolen.

The Electors met on December 14 to cast their votes on behalf of the citizens of their states. No matter the cajoling of the President, nor the threats of the populace, nor the manipulation by their particular party, 306 for Biden and 232 for Trump. Stolen yet again. The President is right.

Stolen. Stolen. Stolen. Revolt. Revolt. Revolt. Rise up. Rise up. Rise up. Justice. Justice. Justice.

BUT….

I remember meeting with a person who couldn’t keep a job. As we went through the litany of events, of firings, of being let go, of walking off the job I began to wonder. I heard her accusations of former counselors, all who had gotten it wrong, all who had taken her money but not her complaining. I thought I would be her savior. I would be the one who could put all the disgruntled pieces of her life together in such a way that she would experience healing. So, I spent a good deal of time listening and praying and hoping.

Then, I began to see the pattern emerging: the world was wrong and the only one that was right was the person bending my ear. This led me to ask some hard questions, I am sure they were shameful questions from her standpoint, probably the same questions those counselors who had preceded me had also asked, the questions that caused me to become the latest person in her failed attempts to find help.

You seem to find employers who don’t see your talents, who always fire you because you don’t do the job they want you to do. Why are they, 100% of them, wrong?

You have seemingly gone to counselor after counselor to help you resolve your issues, but, for some reason you leave them and blame them for something. Why are they, 100% of them, wrong.

“Have you ever thought that maybe there is something inside of you that others see and when they get too close to exposing that something, whether it be on the job or in a counseling office or in a friendship, you choose to run away and blame them?

“Have you ever thought that maybe, you need to look inside, at yourself, and see if you might need to change?

Over the course of the 2016 campaign President Trump labeled his opponents demeaning names. In fact, anyone who disagreed or disagrees with him received such a label.

Lying Ted Cruise

Pocahontas

Lock her Up

Little Marco

Like my counselee, the world was wrong, everyone else is flawed. Don’t trust them. I am the only one who is right. It seems to me that through this election process a similar pattern is emerging.

The popular vote was 81,283,495 to 74,223,755. “The election is being stolen from me.”

The judicial system has denied over 50 cases because of lack of evidence. The election is being stolen from me.

Some of Trump’s appointed judges have given scathing reviews. The election is being stolen from me.

The individual appointed by President Trump to oversee elections said this has been the most secure election in the country’s history. The election is being stolen from me.

The Electors have cast their votes. The election is being stolen from me.

And now, the quiet talk behind the scenes (at the time of this writing) is that on January 6, when the congress meets to confirm the elector’s votes, that one voice will rise to contest the electors. Then, House and Senate will split. Then, more debate will take place. Then, the House state delegations will vote, 30 republican delegations versus 20 democratic delegations. Their vote will be sent to the Senate. The majority Republican Senate will vote with Vice-President Pence being the tie-breaking vote. The 74+ million Trump voters anticipate that Mr. Trump will be elected through this process for a second term and the election will be stolen from the 81+ million voters who voted for Mr. Biden.

Yes, it does appear that there is an attempt to steal the election. But, maybe, just maybe, the one who is attempting to Steal the Election is the one who has been saying now for several months that the election might be stolen. Maybe the President is attempting to entice 74,223,755 Americans to break God’s commandment, “Thou Shalt not Steal.”
